The Teltonika HR1000 is a ruggedized industrial cellular router engineered for harsh, mission-critical deployments where standard networking gear would fail. Housed in a sealed aluminium enclosure rated IP67 and built to MIL-STD-810H standards for vibration (Method 514.8) and shock (Method 516.8), it operates reliably across a -40 °C to 75 °C temperature range and accepts a wide 9–50 VDC input through a locking M12 power connector, with reverse polarity and surge protection built in. Connectivity is anchored by a 4G LTE Cat 6 modem delivering up to 300 Mbps downlink with dual-SIM auto-failover (including eSIM support for up to seven profiles), backed by 2×2 MIMO Wi-Fi, two 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports and a multi-constellation GNSS receiver covering GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS for precise positioning and geofencing. Under the hood, RutOS — Teltonika’s OpenWrt-based Linux operating system — runs on a Mediatek 580 MHz MIPS CPU with 128 MB of RAM, exposing an extensive feature set that includes dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), a broad VPN suite (OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, Tailscale, ZeroTier, DMVPN) and industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, DLMS/COSEM and OPC UA for SCADA and telemetry integration. Two digital inputs and two digital outputs (optionally reassignable as UART), five N-TYPE antenna ports and centralised fleet management through Teltonika RMS round out a platform clearly aimed at defence, utility, transport and other field-deployed applications where ruggedness, secure connectivity and remote manageability are non-negotiable.
