Infrastructure Engineer / IoT Specialist

Hyper Logical is hiring a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer / IoT Specialist to design, deploy and manage cutting-edge IoT and private network infrastructure. This is a pioneer role for a deeply technical engineer who thrives at the intersection of hardware, networking and edge compute; someone who builds, breaks and fixes infrastructure in the real world, not just from a dashboard. You'll help build the "Trusted Fabric of the machine WAN", working on APN architectures, IPSEC VPNs, RADIUS authentication and edge hardware for a global IoT/WAN platform.

What you'll do

  • Design, deploy and manage APN architecture with RADIUS authentication.
  • Configure and maintain IPSEC VPNs (site-to-site and remote access).
  • Set up and harden firewalls, including writing ACLs.
  • Work across the full IoT and edge hardware stack: sensors, gateways and embedded devices.
  • Manage IP addressing, subnetting, VLAN segmentation and network security.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure end-to-end, from the physical layer through to the application layer.
  • Build resilient, scalable network infrastructure designed not to fail.

What we're looking for

  • Cisco certified: CCNA minimum, CCNP or higher preferred, with real-world practical experience, not just paper credentials.
  • Deep hands-on experience with IPSEC, VPN configuration and RADIUS/AAA.
  • Proven track record building and managing mobile infrastructure.
  • Comfortable across the full IoT stack: hardware, connectivity and edge compute.
  • Strong firewall experience across major vendors (Cisco ASA, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.).
  • Solid grounding in IP networking, DNS, DHCP, NAT and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
  • Experience with network monitoring, logging and security hardening.
  • Self-starter mindset: resourceful, entrepreneurial and able to operate without handholding.
  • Real-world troubleshooting experience (you’ve seen things break and fixed them).
